Hari Urmeneta has been fighting cancer for the last year. Hari is the brother of Fermin Urmeneta, Prof. Kufferath’s first black belt on the mainland, and the Uncle of Michael Urmeneta. Hari was a great asset to the Jujitsu kid’s class in the late sixties and early seventies helping his brother Fermin, Kufferath’s Chief Instructor at that time. Hari made the technique list boards for the dojo and did all of the artwork too and is a fine Jujitsu black belt Sensei and practitioner.

Recently Hari’s cancer has grown worse and we want to honor his contribution to our Jujitsu family. Hari has kept in contact with me over the years and always has great things to say about our classes, demonstrations and videos.
